What We Do

Living Well Insights delivers community-informed programmes, resources, and partnerships that address health inequalities, support wellbeing, and promote dignity across the life course. Our work centres lived experience alongside evidence to create culturally inclusive, practical, and sustainable health education and advocacy.

Health Inequalities Advocacy & Awareness

We design and support advocacy and awareness initiatives that address preventable illness and unequal health outcomes.
Our work focuses on:

  • Highlighting disparities affecting marginalised communities
  • Challenging misinformation and harmful narratives
  • Supporting prevention through understanding and early awareness
  • Informing policy, practice, and public dialogue

We work alongside communities and partners to ensure advocacy is grounded in lived experience as well as evidence.

Community Workshops & Teaching

We focus on addressing preventable health conditions that disproportionately affect marginalised communities, particularly Black communities in the UK and across the diaspora. Our work highlights how social, cultural, and structural factors — such as access to information, trust in healthcare systems, and lived experience — shape health outcomes.

  • Raise awareness of preventable illness
  • Promote early understanding and prevention
  • Challenge misinformation and harmful narratives
  • Advocate for equitable health systems

Carers, Older Adults & Dignity in Care

We focus on improving support for carers and older adults, recognising the emotional, physical, and cultural challenges that often accompany ageing and care.
Our work prioritises:

  • Respect and dignity in later life
  • Support for unpaid carers and families
  • Understanding of memory loss and cognitive change
  • Human-centred approaches to care

This focus area underpins programmes such as Echoes of Us, which centres memory, identity, and legacy.

Culturally Inclusive Health Information

Clear and accessible health information saves lives — but too often it is not designed with cultural context in mind.
We create and share health resources that are:

  • Easy to understand
  • Culturally relevant
  • Co-created with communities
  • Designed for real-life use

Our resources aim to support individuals and families to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.

Community Education & Capacity Building

Education is most powerful when it is collaborative and grounded in lived experience. We deliver workshops, teaching sessions, and learning spaces that:

  • Build confidence and understanding
  • Support community leaders and organisations
  • Encourage open, respectful dialogue
  • Strengthen local capacity for change

Sessions are tailored to audience needs and delivered in partnership with trusted community spaces.
